弗契出席的时候，因看到会场上出现中华民国国旗，愤而离席表达抗议，并指出已经违反规定。六、暖身赛——2009年高雄世界运动会暖身赛2008年7月19日到11月8日，高雄世运组委会为了测试场地和器材准备困难度高的项目，和事前的演练工作，举办1次暖身赛。本次暖身赛的比赛项目为飞行运动、体操、合球、滚球和滑水，并且比照高雄世运，与办开闭幕式和选手之夜活动。其中，合球、滚球为国际赛事成为暖身赛系列之一，滑水为示范赛。七、象征（一）、会徽本届世运会徽，主要是以主办城市高雄市的首个中文字“高”字为主要元素，做成彩带形状，呈现律动感觉，表现出选手竞赛时的亮丽身影。而彩带上头以各种颜色点缀，整体表现出色彩缤纷的感觉，表现出各国选手欢聚在高雄同场竞技，并传达和谐、友谊、律动、飞跃、进步、欢乐的概念。同时彩带状的“高”字起头为*色系，结尾使用蓝色系，表现出高雄市为一座阳光和海洋的城市。（二）、吉祥物screen.width-500)this.style.width=screen.width-500;"

border=0>2009年世运吉祥物“水精灵”，左为高妹，右为雄哥本届世运所采用的吉祥物被称为“水精灵”，并以“高雄”两字正式命名为“高妹”和“雄哥”。此次吉祥物的设计概念是以高雄市“光和水”两大主题做为灵感，水精灵在造型上即以水滴形状出现，并且整个身体为一个发光体，也呈现出太阳能发电的环保概念。（三）、主题曲2008年7月16日，也就是高雄世运倒数1周年，经由征选方式公布，由陈宏宇作词、Monkey
Pilot作曲的《看见全世界》获选，并由杨培安演唱。
征选第二名为林献凯作词作曲演唱的《听见世界的声音》。
征选第三名为E-turn作词作曲演唱的《登峰造极》。
高雄市*府特别推出《看见全世界》纪念盘。收入上述三首与《看见全世界》英文版《High
Five》即Kala版及演奏版。这六首在世运比赛现场中场休息时会轮流播出。
八、比赛项目本届比赛项目可分为正式项目与邀请赛两种，共分为6类，31大项运动，其中有5大项运动属于表演赛。特别注意的是，滑轮溜冰大项的花式滑轮分项属于“艺术与舞蹈运动”类，而直排轮曲棍球及竞速滑轮分项则属于“时尚运动”类。（一）、比赛项目screen.width-500)this.style.width=screen.width-500;"

本届世运在高雄县市23个场馆进行比赛。其中开闭幕式主场馆2009世运会主场馆是由日本知名建筑师伊东丰雄设计，为台湾第二座国际足总认可之足球场，也为世界首座“开口式”现代体育场。

高雄世运会比赛期间，有一个违反国际赛事常理的规定。即是金牌得主在颁奖典礼播放该选手代表国家国歌或会歌时，大会为了使整个流程能快速进行，于是不管是哪个国家或地区（包括东道主中华台北）的国歌或会歌都只能播50秒而已，超过50秒即被停止。因此升旗旗杆也制作的比一般都短。十六、2009年台湾高雄世界运动会——第8届世界运动会，已经圆满结束（

世界运动会，是一个国际性的体育竞赛盛会，于1981年首次举办，之后每四年举行一次，竞赛项目以非奥运会项目为主，由国际世界运动会协会（IWGA）举办，于每次奥运一年后举行。2009世界运动会组织委员会基金会今天表示，台湾行*院体育委员会1日再核准新台币7800万元的世运筹办费，使得世运财务缺口缩小为1.1亿元左右，高雄市府将不再向体委会申覆经费。
高雄市长陈菊于6月17日高分贝批评体委会缩减高雄世运的经费，使得世运有2亿多元的缺口、市府孤*奋斗，忧心世运无法一如预期办得好。
不过，2009世界运动会组织委员会基金会（KOC）执行长许钊涓今天证实，体委会于1日核准KOC共7800万元的筹办费，有助于纾缓世运筹办的困境。
市府秘书长郝建生受访表示，原本世运财务缺口是2.3亿元，经市府自行撙节减项，缺口降为1.9亿元，1日获得体委会放行7800万元，世运财务缺口已缩为1.1亿元左右。他表示，因为世运时间已经逼近，市府将不会再向体委会申覆经费，要撙节支出度过难关。
体委会核准的7800万元包括场地、场务及场地布置费1300万元、警用通信费用210万元、开闭幕典礼影像投影机及聘请国外巨星费1000万元、电子看板及计时计分租赁费1530万元及主转播媒体费3800万元等。文章提交者：灵山朔
